Tom Plotkin joins the BizEx Broker team with the desire to bring the small business buyer and seller together for a mutually beneficial and meaningful exchange. One with professional guidance which will allow both buyer and seller to achieve their personal goals and thrive.

Tom is a native southern Californian with over 35 years of small business experience at both the domestic and international level. Tom has operated, purchased and sold various businesses which focused on light manufacturing for the automotive, aircraft and home furnishing aftermarkets. Sales and marketing strategies include active internet marketing to both B2B and B2C clients as well as traditional brick and mortar techniques.  Tom has been associated with such brands as Cromwell Oil Company, Safetech Helmets, Martin Manufacturing and Comfy Seat Covers.

In addition, Tom has hands-on owner experience managing a personal portfolio of residential and commercial properties working directly with both property managers and tenants.

A UCLA graduate, Tom worked in a family business as a print and media buyer to support a nationwide network of small business owners holding exclusive franchises with the company. He later joined the New Zealand Consulate General's Marketing & Trade office in Los Angeles to mentor manufacturers in the marketing and export of their products to US markets. Business travels have taken Tom to New Zealand, Hong Kong, China, Costa Rica, Brazil, Peru, Ireland, France, Germany, Turkey and Greece.
